Just got home from DJ's after our annual mini shopping spree-ette. I managed to keep the credit card blitz responsibly low. Only a couple of gorgeous tops from Witchery and a large bottle of Maggie Beer's Verjuice. Having received today..from Barossa Farm Produce..the recipes that Saskia Beer cooked so passionately right before her drooling audience (me) and a wide eyed gaggle of other passionate foodies, inspired me to buy Verjuice. The Beer family seems to use it in just about everything ! if it's good enough for them..it's good enough for me !
A Snipette from Maggie Beer's website...
Maggie was the first in the world to produce Verjuice commercially. Made from the juice of unfermented grapes, use it as a gentle acidulant wherever you might find lemon juice or vinegar too tart - which means whenever you want the gentlest bite of flavour.
Serving Suggestion:
Use in salad dressings, deglazing the pan when cooking fish and chicken or poaching dried fruit to serve with a glossy dollop of mascarpone
It is also delicious as a drink. Trust me :))
